Allergy relief benefits
- H13 medical-grade HEPA filter captures ≥99.95% of airborne dust mite debris, pollen, pet dander and mould spores at 0.3μm — Smart Air's highest filtration grade
- CADR 950 m³/h — moves an exceptional volume of air for rapid allergen reduction across very large rooms, open-plan spaces, and commercial settings
- Oversized HEPA filter area delivers high airflow at low noise — the unit stays at 43 dB on high, easy to run continuously through allergy season
- Long 21–42 month HEPA filter life keeps total cost of ownership low, even with continuous use during peak allergen periods
- Washable permanent pre-filter captures pet hair and large dander before they reach the HEPA — extends HEPA life in shedding-pet households
- Optional activated carbon filter (sold separately) adds smoke, VOC and odour adsorption for households dealing with wildfire smoke, renovations, or strong household odours
- Ozone-free by design — no ioniser, no UV, no photocatalytic stage — no irritant by-products for asthma or respiratory sensitivity
- All-metal cabinet rated for 24/7 continuous use — built for households that need filtration running around the clock
- Sealed HEPA filtration — captured allergens stay captured, not recirculated back into your breathing zone

FAQs
Who is the Blast Mk II designed for? Very large homes, commercial spaces, and high-allergen-load households needing serious filtration over 80–130 m². Particularly suited to allergy sufferers in open-plan homes where one purifier needs to cover an entire living zone; multi-pet households; bushfire-smoke-affected regions where filtration runs continuously; offices, classrooms, clinical reception areas, retail and hospitality. Designed for 24/7 operation with commercial-grade durability.
What's the difference between the Blast Mk II and the Blast Mini Mk II? The Blast Mk II is the larger flagship — CADR 950 m³/h, coverage 114–130 m², 21–42 month HEPA life. The Blast Mini Mk II is the smaller mid-size unit — CADR 743 m³/h, coverage up to 89 m², 7–14 month HEPA life. Both share the same H13 HEPA construction; the Mk II's larger filter area extends both coverage and filter life. Choose the Mk II for 80 m²+ spaces; the Mini for medium-to-large spaces under 89 m².
How quiet is 43 dB really? 43 dB on high is around the level of soft background noise in a quiet office. The Blast Mk II's noise advantage comes from its oversized filter area — a smaller filter at the same airflow would force the fan to push harder, which is louder. Most users run the Blast Mk II on medium (37 dB) or low (29 dB) for daily operation; high (43 dB) is for periods of poor air quality.
How long does the HEPA filter last? Approximately 21–42 months at 8 hrs/day — Smart Air's own product page suggests around 21 months; the underlying 10,300-hour spec equates to about 42 months at 8 hrs/day. Continuous 24/7 operation compresses the lifespan proportionally. Higher allergen load (heavy pets, smoke regions, ongoing renovation) shortens it; cleaner environments extend it. Replacement HEPA filters and optional carbon filters are sold separately. The pre-filter is washable and doesn't need replacement.
Is it good for allergies? The H13 medical-grade HEPA filter captures airborne dust mite debris, pollen, pet dander, and mould spores at 0.3 microns per the EN 1822 H13 specification (≥99.95%). The exceptional CADR (950 m³/h) means rapid allergen reduction across large rooms — useful for households with multiple pets, heavy pollen exposure, or bushfire smoke. The washable pre-filter traps pet hair and large allergens before they reach the HEPA. We don't claim it treats allergies — that's a medical question — but the construction is what allergy-conscious households are after.
Does it produce ozone? No. The Blast Mk II is ozone-free by design. There's no ioniser, no UV stage, and no photocatalytic stage — meaningful if anyone in the household has asthma or respiratory sensitivity.
Care notes
Wash the pre-filter monthly under cool running water; let dry fully before refitting. Replace the H13 HEPA filter when airflow noticeably reduces or after 21–42 months at 8 hrs/day. The optional carbon filter should be replaced more frequently (typically annually). Wipe the metal cabinet with a dry cloth. Position the unit at least 15 cm (6 inches) from the wall to allow air intake.

Great quality cotton material, but it's a bit of a struggle to get onto the mattress.
The product is great quality and was an easy order with very good communication. I have only had one night sleeping with it but was very pleasantly surprised . I must add , I think the cost is great value when compared to getting even a new doona that is adequate for the colder states in Australia . I had my down doona and pillows washed and commercially dried before putting them in the covers and the mattress is all encased now and it is a really big difference . 👍
Efficient postage, easy to put onto the mattress, duvet etc. Daughter finds it comfortable and soft.

We purchased mattress , pillow and duvet encasement for kids due to their dust mite allergy.
Quality is great and delivery was earlier than expected.
Great product that was delivered quickly. I really like how the SmartAir HEPA filters need replacing every 22 months instead of every six months like most air purifiers. Great value for money.
Comfy as I want it
I love my quilt cover and pillowcases!
Lovely quality and they’ve made all the difference to my allergies and therefore my sleep!
We ordered this mattress for my son who has a dust mite allergy - it arrived quickly (and in a box, which made it super easy to move to the room we needed it in) and it was easy to unpackage and get on the bed. So far he is finding it very comfortable to sleep on.
So far I’m really loving this doona cover. Very comfortable,
Great duvet! It's soft and keeps the dust away so I don't sneeze. It's just right for sleeping all year. I'm really happy with it!
