A 4-pack of 65 × 65cm Euro cushion inserts, filled with new (non-recycled) polyester fibre and made in Australia. Designed to fill standard Euro cushion covers used on beds, sofas and feature seating.

The polyester fill provides a firm, plump shape that holds structure without going flat. According to the manufacturer, these inserts are hypoallergenic and odourless — suited to anyone with sensitivities to fill materials. Euro inserts are a functional purchase — these suit anyone outfitting a bed or sofa with Euro covers and wanting a locally made insert at a practical price point.

Note that inserts typically pull in by approximately 2cm once filled and covered — a 65 × 65cm insert is the right size for a 65 × 65cm cover.

No down, no feathers — polyester fill avoids the protein allergens associated with animal fill.

Using these inserts in an allergy-aware bedroom

According to the manufacturer, these inserts are hypoallergenic and odourless. A review published in the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology: In Practice (Wilson & Platts-Mills, 2018) found that the odds of successful avoidance are significantly higher with a multi-faceted approach — combining physical barriers, humidity control, washing routines and air purification — than with any single measure alone.

Encasing the pillow in a dust mite pillow protector is widely considered one of the most practical steps for reducing allergen exposure at the surface closest to your face. For a full guide to building an allergy-aware bedroom, visit our low allergen bedroom hub.

A complete allergy-aware bedroom typically includes:

  • Dust mite covers — physical barriers for your pillow, quilt and mattress
  • A dehumidifier — keeping humidity below 50% limits dust mite survival
  • An air purifier — reduces airborne allergen particles
  • A HEPA vacuum — helps reduce allergen from carpets, rugs and upholstery

It's worth noting that "hypoallergenic" is not a regulated or standardised term in Australia — there is no official threshold a product must meet to carry the label. The manufacturer's claim reflects their own assessment rather than a certified standard.
