Allergy relief benefits
- H13 medical-grade HEPA filter captures ≥99.95% of airborne dust mite debris, pollen, pet dander and mould spores at 0.3μm — True HEPA grade
- Exceptional CADR 900 m³/h — one of the highest residential CADR ratings in Australia; rapid allergen reduction across very large rooms and open-plan spaces
- Two-way ventilation draws air through filters on both sides, doubling effective filter area and air-change rate
- Activated carbon filter adsorbs household odours, smoke and VOCs that can irritate sensitive airways
- Pre-filter captures pet hair and large dander first — extends HEPA filter life in shedding-pet households
- SmartSens PM2.5 monitoring + 4-colour air-quality indicator shows allergen load in real time
- Auto mode ramps fan speed up when sensors detect particles — automatic response during pollen surges
- Sleep mode at 35 dB designed for low-noise overnight bedroom use, when dust mite allergen exposure is highest
- WiFi app control lets you check air quality and adjust settings remotely from anywhere
- CHOICE Recommended
- Child lock + 12-hour timer — set-and-forget operation safe for family households

6 stages of air purification
- Pre-filter — captures larger particles such as dust, hair, and pet dander; extends downstream filter life
- H13 HEPA filter — captures 99.97% of airborne particles down to 0.3 microns (per EN 1822 H13)
- Activated carbon filter — adsorbs odours, smoke compounds, and some volatile organic compounds (VOCs)
- TiO₂ photocatalytic filter — uses titanium dioxide and UV light to break down certain airborne organic compounds via oxidation
- UVX-Shield (UV-C light) — designed to inactivate certain airborne microbes through direct UV-C exposure
- IonX-Shield (negative ion generator) — releases negative ions to assist in removing airborne particles
Two-way ventilation — the unit draws air in through both side panels and vents purified air out the top, giving a higher effective air-change rate than single-direction designs.
Third-party endorsements

A note on the H13 HEPA filter
Per EN 1822, H13 filters capture ≥99.95% of particles at MPPS (the most penetrating particle size, typically 0.1-0.3 microns). The 99.97% figure on this listing is the manufacturer's tested value, published in the Ionmax user manual and product brochure — it sits within the H13 specification range. We don't make antibacterial or "kills bacteria" claims about the filter; while the manufacturer manual uses that language, our store's standard is to require ISO 22196 or AATCC 100 antibacterial test reports before propagating those claims, and Ionmax doesn't currently publish that test report for this filter.
Important — a note on ionisers
The IonX-Shield ioniser stage produces trace ozone as a by-product (this is true of all negative-ion generators). For ozone-sensitive individuals (some asthma cases, some respiratory conditions), the ioniser can be switched off and the unit run as a HEPA + carbon + TiO₂ + UV purifier only. If you're unsure whether the ioniser is right for your household, please consult your healthcare professional before using ionising functions.

FAQs
Who is the Ionmax+ AIRE ION900PRO designed for? Households with very large open-plan living areas, whole-floor coverage needs, or serious allergen load — plus businesses and public-facing spaces (offices, clinics, classrooms, aged-care, hospitality) where indoor air quality is part of the brief. Particularly suited to allergy sufferers in large open-plan homes, families wanting CHOICE-Recommended equipment, households who want app-based monitoring and Auto-mode response, and any space where one purifier needs to cover an entire living zone up to 234 m².
What does H13 HEPA mean? H13 is the True HEPA classification under EN 1822 — the European standard for HEPA filter testing. H13 captures ≥99.95% of particles at MPPS (the most penetrating particle size). It's one grade above H11 (≥95%) and one grade below H14 (≥99.995%). H13 is the standard used in medical, laboratory, and high-spec residential applications.
How often should I replace the filters? Manufacturer recommends every 6-12 months under normal household use. The unit's filter replacement alert will signal when replacement is due. Replacement filter sets are sold separately.
How loud is it? 35-66 dB(A). Sleep mode at 35 dB is quieter than a refrigerator hum and suitable for overnight bedroom use; full fan speed at 66 dB is similar to a household conversation — fine for a living area but louder than most people want overnight.
Does the ioniser produce ozone? Yes, in trace amounts — this is true of all negative-ion generators. For ozone-sensitive individuals, switch the ioniser off and run the unit on its 5 non-ioniser stages (pre-filter, H13 HEPA, carbon, TiO₂, UV-C). For an ozone-free purifier with no ioniser stage, see our SmartAir SA-600 or Blast range.
Is it good for allergies? The H13 medical-grade HEPA filter captures airborne dust mite debris, pollen, pet dander, and mould spores at 0.3 microns per the EN 1822 H13 specification (≥99.95%). The exceptional CADR (900 m³/h) means rapid allergen reduction across very large rooms. We don't claim it treats allergies — that's a medical question — but the construction is what allergy-conscious households are after.
Care notes
Vacuum the pre-filter monthly to extend H13 filter life. Replace the full 3-in-1 filter set every 6-12 months (or when the indicator signals). Wipe the cabinet with a dry cloth. Don't operate with a wet or damp filter. The TiO₂ and UV-C components are designed to last the life of the unit and don't require replacement.

Great quality cotton material, but it's a bit of a struggle to get onto the mattress.
The product is great quality and was an easy order with very good communication. I have only had one night sleeping with it but was very pleasantly surprised . I must add , I think the cost is great value when compared to getting even a new doona that is adequate for the colder states in Australia . I had my down doona and pillows washed and commercially dried before putting them in the covers and the mattress is all encased now and it is a really big difference . 👍
Efficient postage, easy to put onto the mattress, duvet etc. Daughter finds it comfortable and soft.

We purchased mattress , pillow and duvet encasement for kids due to their dust mite allergy.
Quality is great and delivery was earlier than expected.
Great product that was delivered quickly. I really like how the SmartAir HEPA filters need replacing every 22 months instead of every six months like most air purifiers. Great value for money.
Comfy as I want it
I love my quilt cover and pillowcases!
Lovely quality and they’ve made all the difference to my allergies and therefore my sleep!
We ordered this mattress for my son who has a dust mite allergy - it arrived quickly (and in a box, which made it super easy to move to the room we needed it in) and it was easy to unpackage and get on the bed. So far he is finding it very comfortable to sleep on.
So far I’m really loving this doona cover. Very comfortable,
Great duvet! It's soft and keeps the dust away so I don't sneeze. It's just right for sleeping all year. I'm really happy with it!
