The Devanti 600ml is a compact Peltier (thermoelectric) mini dehumidifier for small enclosed spaces — wardrobes, single cupboards, bedside tables, desks and small bathrooms. Removes approximately 250–300 ml of moisture per day. 600 ml tank with auto shut-off and full-tank LED indicator. Quiet operation under 48 dB. 1 kg, fits anywhere.
Who it's for
Australian households needing targeted moisture control in a small enclosed space where a full-sized compressor unit would be overkill. Suits:
- Wardrobes and walk-in robes
- Single cupboards
- Bedside tables and desks
- Small bathrooms or ensuites
- Caravans, boats and small offices
Because this is a Peltier unit (not a compressor), it removes a few hundred ml of moisture per day — useful for a small enclosed pocket of damp air, not a whole room. For full-room dehumidification (bathroom, bedroom, living area), step up to the Devanti DH-002 (2 L) or DH-B-12L-WH (12 L), or to a desiccant unit such as the Ionmax Vienne ION630 for cool rooms.

How it works
- Uses a Peltier (thermoelectric) chip to cool one surface below the dew point
- Moisture from passing air condenses on the cold surface and drips into the tank
- Dry air is then circulated back out
- No compressor and no refrigerant — much quieter and lighter than a full-sized unit, but removes much less moisture per day
- Best used in small enclosed spaces where the limited capacity is enough to keep that pocket of air dry
The research behind humidity control
The key research findings for indoor humidity and dust mite control:
- Arlian et al. (JACI, 1999) — keeping mean daily indoor RH below 50% restricted dust mite population growth by more than 97%, even when humidity briefly spiked above 50% for a few hours.
- Cabrera et al. (JACI, 2001) — homes maintaining indoor RH below 51% across a humid summer had mite allergen levels more than 10× lower than humid homes after 17 months.
- That research is whole-room scale. A mini Peltier unit like this isn't capable of holding a whole room within that range — but it can help keep a small enclosed space (wardrobe, cupboard) drier than the surrounding room, which is useful where damp clothes, leather or wood would otherwise be affected.
Why a multi-faceted approach works better than any single tool
Reviews of dust mite intervention studies consistently find that single interventions deliver modest results, but combined approaches deliver meaningful reductions. The 2024 review The Prevention of House Dust Mite Allergies in Pediatric Asthma (Children, MDPI) concluded that most benefits come from combining several interventions rather than relying on one. A multi-faceted approach typically combines:
- Reducing humidity — a mini unit like this only addresses small enclosed spaces; for a whole bedroom you'll want a larger unit. Aim for 40–50% RH year-round in living areas.
- Tracking humidity — pair with an air quality monitor or hygrometer so you can confirm the space is staying in range.
- Encasing bedding — dust mite covers for mattress, pillows and quilt are the single most-evidenced bedroom intervention.
- Filtering airborne allergens — a HEPA air purifier captures the fine particles dehumidifiers don't address.
- Neutralising allergens on textiles — an allergen-neutralising spray treats sofas, rugs and other soft surfaces that aren't easily encased.
- Removing settled allergens — regular vacuuming and washing bed linens in hot water.
A mini dehumidifier on its own won't shift a room — it works best as one small piece of a layered approach.

What it doesn't do
The Devanti 600ml is a mini dehumidifier, not a medical device:
- Won't dry a whole room. With ~250–300 ml/day output, it's designed for small enclosed spaces (wardrobes, cupboards, bedside). For a whole bedroom, bathroom or living area, you need a larger unit.
- Not an air purifier. There's no HEPA filter; we don't make claims about airborne particle, VOC, bacterial or viral removal.
- Doesn't remove existing mould — it reduces moisture in the air; if you have visible mould, treat the affected surface and identify the source first.
- Not a medical device. We don't make claims about treating asthma, allergies or any other health condition.
FAQs
What's the realistic use case? A small enclosed space — wardrobe, walk-in robe, cupboard, under a bedside table, on a desk in a humid study, inside a caravan or boat. Anywhere damp air pools and you want it drier without running a full-sized unit.
Will it help my whole bedroom feel less humid? Realistically, no — the output is too low to shift a whole room. For a bedroom-scale unit at this price point, look at the Devanti DH-002 (compressor) or Ionmax Venta ION615 (desiccant).
Why Peltier and not a compressor? Peltier units are smaller, quieter, lighter and use less power, but remove much less moisture per day. They suit small enclosed spaces; compressors and desiccants suit whole rooms.
How loud is it? Under 48 dB — quieter than a typical conversation. Suitable for bedroom or office use.
Can I leave it on overnight? Yes — the unit auto shuts off when the 600 ml tank is full, with a red LED indicator. No continuous-drain option; you empty the tank manually.
What's the operating temperature range? 5°C – 32°C. Peltier output drops in very cold or very dry conditions; performance is best in warm, humid air.
Care notes
- Empty the 600 ml tank when the full-tank LED lights up
- The detachable tank cover lets you clean inside the tank periodically
- Wipe the cabinet with a dry cloth
- Use on a level surface
- Don't operate the unit immediately after moving it from cold storage — let it equalise to room temperature first

The product is great quality and was an easy order with very good communication. I have only had one night sleeping with it but was very pleasantly surprised . I must add , I think the cost is great value when compared to getting even a new doona that is adequate for the colder states in Australia . I had my down doona and pillows washed and commercially dried before putting them in the covers and the mattress is all encased now and it is a really big difference . 👍
Efficient postage, easy to put onto the mattress, duvet etc. Daughter finds it comfortable and soft.

We purchased mattress , pillow and duvet encasement for kids due to their dust mite allergy.
Quality is great and delivery was earlier than expected.
Great product that was delivered quickly. I really like how the SmartAir HEPA filters need replacing every 22 months instead of every six months like most air purifiers. Great value for money.
Comfy as I want it
I love my quilt cover and pillowcases!
Lovely quality and they’ve made all the difference to my allergies and therefore my sleep!
We ordered this mattress for my son who has a dust mite allergy - it arrived quickly (and in a box, which made it super easy to move to the room we needed it in) and it was easy to unpackage and get on the bed. So far he is finding it very comfortable to sleep on.
So far I’m really loving this doona cover. Very comfortable,
Great duvet! It's soft and keeps the dust away so I don't sneeze. It's just right for sleeping all year. I'm really happy with it!
