Clean or steam the encasement every 3 to 6 months, especially if it's paired with a mattress protector that you wash weekly alongside your bedding.
Do not use bleach, high temperatures, and natural or body oils. Ironing is not recommended. If you're uncertain about the heat settings on your washer or dryer, consider hand washing and air drying as safer alternatives.

How should I use the mattress protectors?
For optimal results, it is recommended to use the mattress protectors in conjunction with a secondary slip-on mattress protector placed on top. The slip-on mattress protector should be taken off the mattress and laundered weekly along with your other bedding, while keeping the mattress encasement securely sealed.
How often should I wash the mattress covers?
Dust mite mattress protectors require washing typically every 6 to 12 months. If the protectors appear clean and without visible dirt, using a steam cleaner can serve as a convenient and efficient alternative.
Is cotton or waterproof material more effective at creating allergen barrier?
Both options are equally effective in controlling allergens, dust mites, bed bugs, pet dander, scabies, and other allergens.
Are the cotton mattress protectors waterproof?
