Allergy relief benefits
- H13 medical-grade HEPA filter captures ≥99.95% of airborne dust mite debris, pollen, pet dander and mould spores at 0.3μm
- CADR 743 m³/h moves a huge volume of air for rapid allergen reduction in large rooms — supports homes with serious pet, pollen, or smoke load
- Oversized HEPA filter area means lower resistance and quieter operation at high airflow — easier to run continuously during allergy season
- Washable permanent pre-filter captures pet hair and large dander before they reach the HEPA — extends HEPA life in shedding-pet households
- Optional activated carbon filter (sold separately) adds smoke, VOC and odour adsorption for households dealing with wildfire smoke, cigarettes, or recent renovations
- Ozone-free and ioniser-free — no irritant by-products for asthma or respiratory sensitivity
- All-metal cabinet rated for 24/7 continuous use — built for households that need filtration running around the clock during peak allergy seasons
- Sealed HEPA filtration — captured allergens stay captured, not recirculated back into your breathing zone

FAQs (6 — schema-safe)
Who is the Blast Mini Mk II designed for? Households and small commercial users with large rooms or open-plan spaces from ~50–89 m² who need serious H13 HEPA filtration running consistently. Particularly suited to allergy sufferers with high allergen load (multiple pets, smokers in the household, recent renovation, bushfire-smoke regions); home offices, classrooms, clinical reception areas, retail backrooms; and anyone who wants commercial-grade durability rather than a residential-grade unit that wears out faster under continuous use. Strong choice for households where one purifier needs to cover the main living area.
Where does it fit in the SmartAir range? Three tiers: Sqair (residential, single-room, up to ~40 m², CADR 300, $289). Blast Mini Mk II (this unit; mid-size commercial, up to 89 m², CADR 743, $650). Blast Mk II (full commercial, up to 114 m², CADR 950, $1,241). Choose by room size and duty cycle — the Blast Mini is rated for continuous commercial use; the Sqair is rated for residential use.
How quiet is 49 dB on high? 49 dB is similar to a quiet office hum or a refrigerator. Most users run the Blast Mini on medium (43 dB) for daily operation; high (49 dB) is used during periods of poor air quality. Low (36 dB) is suitable for overnight use.
How long does the HEPA filter last? Approximately 7–14 months / 3,360 hours at 8 hrs/day, per Smart Air's official figures. Higher allergen load (heavy pets, smoke regions, ongoing renovation) compresses the lifespan; cleaner environments extend it. Replacement HEPA filters are sold separately. Vacuum or wash the pre-filter monthly to maximise HEPA life.
Do I need the carbon filter? Optional. Add it if you have specific concerns about VOCs, smoke (wildfire, cigarettes, cooking), or strong household odours. For pure particle filtration (dust mites, pollen, pet dander, fine particulates), the H13 HEPA alone is sufficient. Note: fitting the carbon filter reduces airflow and CADR.
Is it good for allergies? The H13 medical-grade HEPA filter captures airborne dust mite debris, pollen, pet dander, and mould spores at 0.3 microns per the EN 1822 H13 specification (≥99.95%). The washable pre-filter traps pet hair and large allergens before they reach the HEPA. The high CADR (743 m³/h) means rapid allergen reduction across large rooms — useful in households with multiple pets, heavy pollen exposure, or bushfire smoke. We don't claim it treats allergies — that's a medical question — but the construction is what allergy-conscious households are after.
Does it produce ozone? No. The Blast Mini Mk II is ozone-free by design — no ioniser stage and no UV/photocatalytic stage. Meaningful if anyone in the household has asthma or respiratory sensitivity.
Care notes Wash the pre-filter monthly under cool running water; let dry fully before refitting. Replace the H13 HEPA filter when airflow noticeably reduces or after 7–14 months under typical use. The optional carbon filter should be replaced more frequently than the HEPA filter (typically 6–12 months). Wipe the metal cabinet with a dry cloth. Position the unit at least 15 cm (6 inches) from the wall to allow air intake.

from 15 reviewsThe product is great quality and was an easy order with very good communication. I have only had one night sleeping with it but was very pleasantly surprised . I must add , I think the cost is great value when compared to getting even a new doona that is adequate for the colder states in Australia . I had my down doona and pillows washed and commercially dried before putting them in the covers and the mattress is all encased now and it is a really big difference . 👍
Efficient postage, easy to put onto the mattress, duvet etc. Daughter finds it comfortable and soft.
We purchased mattress , pillow and duvet encasement for kids due to their dust mite allergy.
Quality is great and delivery was earlier than expected.
Shipping was fast and efficient. The quality of the pillow is so much better than the one we bought from kmart. However it's not for us as it's on the thick side and will cause back pain used for a long period
Great product that was delivered quickly. I really like how the SmartAir HEPA filters need replacing every 22 months instead of every six months like most air purifiers. Great value for money.
Comfy as I want it
I love my quilt cover and pillowcases!
Lovely quality and they’ve made all the difference to my allergies and therefore my sleep!
We ordered this mattress for my son who has a dust mite allergy - it arrived quickly (and in a box, which made it super easy to move to the room we needed it in) and it was easy to unpackage and get on the bed. So far he is finding it very comfortable to sleep on.
So far I’m really loving this doona cover. Very comfortable,
Great duvet! It's soft and keeps the dust away so I don't sneeze. It's just right for sleeping all year. I'm really happy with it!
